After our stay in the Original Backpackers hostel we moved to Coogee. There we rented a studio for about 10 days. Normally we would have stayed for 2 weeks but we found something else after a few days. For us it was good for short term, but for long term it would have been a little bit to small.

We had a great time staying in the studio. The landlord was very friendly, if we needed anything he would take care of it.
We lived on walking distance from Coogee Beach, the stores, bars, restaurants and the bus stopped in front of our door. The location couldn’t be better.
But it was not meant to be, it was too small, we had difficulties finding a job so we had to change plans. We needed a proper income to pay rent and food. So I started to search for Au Pair positions which was not easy because we are a couple. Eventually we found a family in Gerringong, which is situated at the South Coast, via a Facebook page.

We can say that we fed some cute little colourful birds called Rainbow Lorikeet aka “Miss Decibel”.
One morning our window was open and they came and woke us up to get some food. They are cute but also very loud.
