Now on to our arrival.
Wednesday the 10th of January we left our small, charming town back in Belgium. We woke up early because we had to catch our flight at 10 am. When we arrived on the airport it was hard to say goodbye to our family as they mean the world to us. There have been some tears but at the same time we were so ready for our take off to Australia.
After our first long flight of 7 hours we had a stopover in Abu Dhabi. We only had 3 hours there so it was just to have some dinner and leave again. Then came the longer night flight, it was a flight of 14 hours from Abu Dhabi to Sydney. It was long and exhausting but it was definitely worth it.
Thursday the 11th of January we arrived in “The Emerald City”… with a jetlag.
Our first nights we spend in a hostel, the Original Backpackers hostel , in Potts Point. We spend 9 nights in this hostel. We had a double room with a private bathroom. The room was very tidy and comfortable. Our booking included breakfast in the morning, a kettle to make coffee and tea, a TV, a fridge, linen and towels, a save and free Wi-Fi. We had a good stay!
